How the Framework Elements interRelate

The Cognitive T.I.M.E. Framework exposes an interesting dychonomy, when it comes to how we understand and apply Project Time Management. From a Learning perspective, the ideal sequence is from left to right. Yet, from an Implementation (Thought) perspective it is from right to left.

Let's put this in the context of Ideology:

techlearnFrom a Learning perspective, the ideal sequence is from left to right (as shown in the diagram to the left).

Both Technology and Ideology should be fully understood before studying Methodology yet after considering Ecology. While one could study either Technology or Ideology first, we recommend Technology, since so much of Project Time Management depends on the Critical Path Method.

That is why this book, CPM Mechanics, was the first one we wrote, and the first one you should read.

techthoughtMeanwhile, from an Implementation perspective, the thought process of the Project Execution Team should begin by discussing Ecology ... what we are up against, what the project entails, what constraints it has and challenges it poses, and so forth. Based on these insights, we then go on to develop an Project Time Management Ideology ... and so forth.

Once the Ideology is locked down, the Project Team can then design and develop a coherent and compatible Methodologies that, in turn, considers the limitations and capabilities of the chosen Technologies.
